When it comes to diving in O Grove, everything revolves around the renowned Bahía Sub center (founded in 1996), one of the leading diving schools in northern Spain.
What sets this diving school apart:
The Diving Grounds: Diving takes place in the nutrient-rich Ría de Arousa. The school offers over 30 different dive sites. The underwater world is spectacular: along with surprisingly good visibility at times (up to 20 meters), there are underwater caves with fascinating displays of light and the typically abundant Atlantic fauna (octopuses, lobsters, rays).
The Services:
For Beginners: Initial discovery dives (Bautismos de Buceo) and guided snorkeling trips.
For Advanced Divers: Full PADI certifications, continuous training, and daily organized boat trips (including night dives during the summer).
Special Highlights: The school also organizes excursions to the traditional mussel farming platforms (Bateas), as well as spectacular dives in the nearby Atlantic Islands National Park (such as the islands of Ons and Sálvora).
Perfect Combination: Since the center also operates as a small family-run ferry business, diving trips can be perfectly combined with classic boat tours through the fjords.
